Description
Mushroom compost is an excellent soil conditioner for heavy clay soils and vegetable gardens where structure and nutrients will make a real difference. It is a slow release, nutrient-rich, recycled organic byproduct of commercial mushroom production and very much sought after by growers.
Mulching with mushroom compost can help your garden in several ways:
- Improves soil structure and breaks up heavy clay soil
- Increases water and nutrient retention
- Suppresses weeds
- Benefits vegetables during growing (especially brassicas and root vegetables)
- Great for roses, trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders
Bag size – 80cm x 80cm x 80cm
Please note: mushroom compost is NOT suitable for acid loving (ericaceous) plants such as azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias and heathers.
